Quentin Tarantino has recently revealed plans to direct his ninth film, this one about the Manson murders. Many believe this could be the last film that Tarantino writes/directs. It would be an interesting one for sure, as Tarantino has never really gotten into the horror genre.
It has been rumored that Tarantino met with Margot Robbie about playing the late actress Sharon Tate, as well as star Brad Pitt, whom he worked with on “Inglorious Bastards”. Samuel L. Jackson and Jennifer Lawrence have also been rumored to be in talks with Tarantino about potentially being cast members. Lawrence, who almost was going to be on the cast of “The Hateful Eight,” is not in discussion to play Sharon Tate, despite reports speculating that she would.
I am a pretty big fan of Quentin Tarantino’s work. “Reservoir Dogs” and “Pulp Fiction” are two absolute classics, and some of his more recent works include “Inglorious Bastards”, “Django Unchained”, and “The Hateful Eight”. All of the aforementioned movies are phenomenal in my opinion, and I am interested to see what he does with this impending film. It seems to me that this upcoming project about the Manson murders will have to play as more of a horror movie, which is a genre that Tarantino hasn’t really touched in his career. Nonetheless, it should be an extremely interesting film that I am really looking forward to seeing.
